Labour market governance in the Philippines: Issues and institutions Labour market governance The author outlines the present state of the labour market, the mechanisms available to support the attainment of full, productive and decent employment, and he examines critically the institutions, processes and capacity of the market as well as the manner of their interaction.

The International Labor Organization (ILO) defines labor market governance as the institutions, authority structures, means of collaboration, policies, norms, laws, regulations, machinery and processes that influence the demand for and supply of labor in an economy, encompassing labor regulation, industrial relations and labor by: 2.
